Aesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Masque
Aesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Masque
Its official by now that a mask/masque is very important step in my skincare routine. After doing a lot of research, I picked Aesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Masque from Cult Beauty for £33
Aesop describes this as "Astringent masque to minimise blemishes and breakouts." The description was convincing enough for me to buy it, as it sounded perfect for my skin concerns.

Aesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Masque comes is a glass jar with a screw off lid. The consistency of the mask is thick, but spreads evenly on the face. It has a peach hue to it. You don't need a lot of product, a thin layer on the face works best. It has a very herbal smell that feels relaxing (very spa kinda feeling).

I apply this mask to clean and exfoliated skin, and leave it on for about 20-25 mins (on the pack it says 10 mins, leaving it longer hasn't been drying at all). As I mentioned before, you need to apply a very thin layer of this mask. Though at first it  isn't very noticeable, but after a while once it starts drying you can see the thin layer.  Once, it dries completely I take it off with a muslin cloth soaked in hot water. It comes out easily and is not messy in any way. Once the mask is taken off, the difference is obvious. My skin looks a lot more clearer, as the mask really picks up all the dirt from the pores. This mask also works on blemishes, I have seen this calm down my pimples when I wake up. I have used this mask as a spot treatment, and was amazed how my zits looked a lot smaller and less painful.

This is a clay based masque, which isn't all that drying and will suit almost all skin types. With this I don't find my skin being dry or wanting for immediate moisturisation. This mask is packed with anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, Chamomile, Tea Tree and Evening Primrose which help in calming down the skin. It also has Glycerin, which helps in keeping the skin hydrated.

Overall, this is a wonderful mask if you have breakout prone skin. This mask, is surely going to be repurchased because I was amazed by how it calms down my hormonal break outs leaving my skin cleaner and calmer.

Have you tried this masque before or anything from Aesop? Would love to hear your recommendations.

xoxo
Fiona
