Party Looks for the Season!
Hello Beauties!
Wohoo! Its festive season since November, we have a lot of parties, weddings etc all lined up. So I tought it would be the best time to share some Tips & Tricks by Tom Pecheux, Creative Makeup Director of Estee Lauder. Super exciting right?
Mix, match and play with texture this party season with tips and tricks from Estee Lauder.
If opting for a feminine, elegant look, opt for glistening aqua shades, see-through subtle color and shimmer that are revealed little by little!
Begin with a perfectly fresh face by applying the Invisible Powder Makeup. Available in a range of true-to-life shades, the Invisible Powder Makeup and Invisible Fluid Makeup (for those who prefer a liquid foundation) provides skin with a flawless, luminous and naturally perfected look. Next create bronze contoured cheeks and finish the look with pink-nude lips and a slight shimmer on the eye in a subtle emerald shade. For the eyes, one can blend the Pure Color Stay-on Shadow Paint in Cosmic, Extreme Emerald, Halo and Steel, with the mix of colors creating a glistening finish on the lid.
For the extra sparkle and shine, apply shimmery eyeshadow with your fingers to disperse the sparkly particles evenly on your eyelids
If going in for the famous smokey eye, keep in mind a smokey eye is not about making a heavy eye. It still needs a lightness and transparency - like a swimming pool.
A smokey eye is one of the easiest makeup applications to create – much easier than creating the perfect red lip! Start with a black or brown pencil such as the Double Wear Stay-in-Place Eye Pencil in Onyx. Rub it onto the tip of your finger then smudge onto the eyelid from the middle out – don’t powder the lid beforehand. This will give you a great base to then add the color eye shadow you want. Use a large eye brush and dust shadow over the top. You can use a black or brown pencil underneath the eye and finish with a black mascara such as the Sumptuous Extreme Mascara.
For the perfect cat eye, line just your top lashline and the outside corners of your eyes. Don't frame your entire eye.
After a great night of partying, cover your post party dark circles with a peach or coral tone blusher. Peach and orange tones are always the best. After applying a peach or coral tone blusher to the apple of your cheeks, sweep the left-over powder from your brush under your eyes. The orange tone in the blush will neutralize the blue and green in your dark circles.
And lastly Tom adds, “My favorite makeup look on a woman is one that suits her perfectly! You may think a woman will look amazing in red lipstick, but if she doesn’t feel at ease with it, she’ll never wear it and she will just look uncomfortable. It’s really important for a woman to feel confident and great wearing makeup.”
