New Maybelline 36H Lasting Drama Gel Liner ~Black: Review

A few days back while I was waiting for a friend, I decided to check out Maybelline counter and the SA told me that they have a new and improved Maybelline gel liner, and I was intrigued to try. Also it had some wonderful recommendation by fellow bloggers. So there I went ahead and bought this.

The New Maybelline 36H Lasting Drama Gel Liner comes in a Square Cut plastic jar as compared to the frosted glass jar. I personally love this packaging over the old one. This one is more travel friendly. It also comes with eye-liner brush which sturdy yet soft, pretty decent no complaints on that.

The liner that I currently picked is in shade 01 Black, which is black but not intense black. The gel liner is glossy in the pot however dries matte when applied on the lids. The texture is smooth and it glides on the lids almost effortlessly and there is no tugging or pulling. The gel liner is nicely pigmented, however you get an intense black finish in 2-3 strokes. It dried surprisingly fast and did not transfer on my lids. Since I have very oily lids I face the problem often. Now that's the good about the gel liner.

But the bad comes here...when maybelline claimed it to be 36H (I wouldn't keep the liner on for 36 hours anyways), but I expected it to last atleast 10 hours.. Am I expecting too much? No right. This barely lasted for 3 hours after which it faded away and then woosh its all gone. I tried this with primer underneath and no big difference, must have lasted a little over 4 hours. Pretty disappointed.
